FAQs

Please click here for the Meet our Families page.

Please ask for an activation receipt at checkout and include this receipt when dropping off your RFTS envelope and gift card.

If it is not included, our volunteer team has to call and check each card in advance of giving it to our families.

Click the card below for a sample of what to look for on your receipt.
Walmart:
Loblaws:

There is no correct amount to donate, every family is different.  When planning your giving, please use your discretion.  However, if you sign up for a slot designated for grocery stores or Walmart, we would recommend you allocate a minimum of $75 due to the high price of food. If you have a specific question, please contact the RFTS team at the address below.

Please place your gift card(s) in the Reason for the Season envelope that was sent home in your student’s backpack.  Complete the information on the front of the envelope as it will assist our volunteers in cross-referencing with the sign-up form.

Mark your calendars!!!!  Envelopes will be collected on November 20, 21, and 22 in the following locations:

Junior School - RFTS elves will be in the upper parking lot at school entrances during drop-off and pick-up hours on the collection dates.
Senior School - There will be an RFTS collection box with Nichola at the front desk.  If you take the school bus, feel free to drop the envelope off with one of the RFTS elves at the Junior School.

Absolutely! If you feel compelled to support additional families, or if your grade is full, please sign up for any items you wish!

No problem! Your RFTS email confirmation will contain all of your sign-up information (Item, family # and member), please check your junk folder for an email from [email protected].  There is also a search bar at the top of the sign-up page where you can search by name.

Feel free to sign up for a line item under your name on their behalf.

While we appreciate all offers, please contact one of our members of the RFTS team to see if it would be an appropriate match for our families.

Although convenient for many of us, E-Gift Cards will not be accepted. The families we are supporting may not have regular access to computers and printers.

Families are incredibly grateful to receive support from KCS families at this time of year.  There are a number of significant requests that would improve the quality of life for these families in meaningful ways.  These items include mattresses, beds, pots and pans, stove, laptops, TTC passes, tutors, and extra-curricular activities.  If you would like to contribute any of these items, please refer to the Above and Beyond page or contact Tania Da Fonseca at [email protected].

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Tania Da Fonseca at [email protected], Melanie Alexson-Chernyak at [email protected]  or Karen Osmond at [email protected].
